D’veed is the premier Kobujutsu instructor in Israel teaching both kata and combat techniques with the traditional weapons as well as improvised and modern weapons. His knowledge of kata breakdown and practical application is unsurpassed in Israel; elevating it from “kindergarten” to “university” and post doc levels. Due to his many years of teaching, and high level of expertise, students learn much more and much faster under him.
Based on his extensive military background in both the US Army and the Israeli Army he has designed a program of I.T.T. for use by Combat Soldiers while fully “geared up” (armed and armored) for combat. A Vietnam era veteran, he developed no nonsense (no BS) responses to situations  in which normal weapons have been compromised, are not available in time, or are not appropriate for use.

**Notice:** Master Shigeru Nakamura is the touchstone from which the modern Okinawa/Ryukyu Kenpo/Kempo names descend. His son, Taketo, retired from teaching; leaving Sensei Odo and Oyata as the only practitioners with a direct link to his teachings and using the Kenpo/Kempo name (Master Seikichi Odo died at 10:48 AM, March 24, 2002). Ryukyu, Kenpo/Kempo, Kobujutsu are, like Karate, generic terms. Anyone can use them. Gichen Funakoshi called his first book, printed in 1922, Ryukyu Kenpo Karate-do. With the advent of the internet, many people try to take advantage of the fame generated by the name Ryukyu Kenpo/Kempo to promote their businesses. Taika Oyata and students, Master Odo and students, Hanshi Natan (student of both) and students, have taken measures to distance themselves from these individuals. All three changed the names by which their systems are known today. Taika Oyata renamed his, "Ryute" and has registered it as his trademark. Master Odo renamed his, "Ryukyu Hon Kenpo Kobujutsu". Hanshi Natan renamed his, "Ryukyu Kenpo Kobujutsu". Daishihan Rocky Leavitt simply calls his "Real Karate". Very few have been long term students of these Masters; and, those who are, are noted on their different Association websites.
