Brown Belt)
1.
The Scimitar. (A1-3,BC). Left hook.
A1.) Step forward with right, left tiger mouth to throat, right outward knife
hand to left forearm; pivot to fighting stance, right knife hand to left side
neck, left hand to guard; right crane hook back of neck, left hand to top of
head, pull down and forward; step back with right, adjust grip on head, right
knee to face, right front snap kick to groin; plant forward to fighting stance
right dropping. elbow to spine.
A2.) Start as ‘A1’; step back right-left, shift right hand to jaw and pull him
forward; pivot to fighting stance, rotate head counter clockwise to break neck.
A3.) Start as ‘A’ until right knee; plant forward to fighting stance, tuck head
into crook of right arm (chin pointing right, top of head on right hip), grab
right hand with left, squat to low naihanchi, pull up and in twisting with right
inside forearm, lift right hip to break neck.
B.) Step forward with right, intercept punch with right outward extended
blocking strike, left palm heel to face; pivot to fighting stance, right side
elbow to left side of head, left hand to guard; right crane claw to face, left
knife hand to throat, right leg lift to groin, plant forward, right punch to
face, left hand to guard.
C.) Step forward with right to cat, intercept punch with right outward extended
blocking strike, left palm heel to heart point; right side elbow to left side of
his head, left hand to guard; right upside down gouging thumb grab to trachea,
left upside down tiger claw grab to groin; crescent step forward 45° right with
left behind his legs to twisted stance; pivot to bow, throw, twisting hands as
he falls to rip out.
2.
Trapping the Spear. (AB1-4,C). Right punch.
A.) Step forward with left to bow, trap block right arm, left inward parry to
outside right arm; right back knuckle to Tw-17; pivot 180° to half bow, sweep
his right arm down and clockwise with the left, right - left knife hand strike
to the right side his neck (Gb-20) and (Gv-16); shift back 180°, right uppercut
to face.
B1.) Start as ‘A’ then; right crane hook the back of his neck, pull down to
right knee to the chest; plant forward, left dropping elbow to his spine; right
tiger claw to his face (palm up).
B2.) Start as ‘B1’but; right knife hand to his right mastoid process; right
crane hook his neck, pull down, circle right arm 360° counter clockwise, left
palm on his right shoulder, or, strike (Gv-16), right dropping elbow to back of
neck.
B3.) Start as ‘B1’; left dropping elbow to his spine; continue motion; right
dropping elbow to his back of neck.
B4.) Start as ‘B1’; after left dropping elbow; right rising elbow to head, right
hammer fist to back of neck.
C.) Back against wall. Start as ‘A’ then; grab his right shoulder with
the left, his face with right tiger claw; cross back right with the left; pivot
180° to fighting stance, throw him into wall, back first; reverse right hand to
back of head, pull him to right knee.
3.
Prance of the Tiger. (A1-2,B). Right punch.
A1.) Step forward with right to fighting stance, double tiger claw palm heel
strike right arm; pivot forward to crossing stance, double tiger claw eyes (left
to right); pivot back to fighting stance right side elbow left side head, left
palm heel right side of head; (buckle his right knee with the right) pivot to
dropping stance, right hammer fist to groin, left hand to guard; pivot forward
to bow, right back knuckle to philtrum; left tiger claw to chin, right hand
chambered; shift to fighting stance, right tiger mouth to throat, left hand to
guard.
A2.) Start as ‘A1’ to buckle; right scoop kick to groin, plant back with right
to fighting stance speed shift left leg back; left 45° kick to left inside
thigh.
B.) Double tiger claw palm heel strike right arm, right front snap kick to
groin; plant forward outside his right leg, left hand slide to right wrist,
right tiger claw to face; circle right arm counter clockwise to the rear, right
elbow to heart; right dropping tiger claw to face, step forward with left; kneel
on right, break his right elbow across left knee, slam back of head on ground.
4.
Whirling Dervish. (A1-2,BCD). Right punch.
A1.) Cross over left with right to 45° left rear, left parry punch, right middle
knuckle hook to heart point; pivot to fighting stance, left knife hand to same
point; step forward with right between his legs, right overhead tiger claw to
face, left hand guard; continue motion down; pull right arm up, right back
knuckle to face; spin out.
A2.) Same as ‘A’, no spin out; step back, then forward with right; pivot
to bow, left - right knife hand to throat and neck.
B.) Left leg forward. Step forward 45º left with right, left inward
parry, right middle knuckle hook to heart point; pivot 180º to bow, left knife
hand to heart point, right hand to guard; right front snap kick to his left
knee, both hands in guard, plant forward; pivot towards him, right reverse knife
hand to groin, left in guard.
C.) Right leg forward. Start as ‘A’ except kick to his right hamstring
muscle; plant forward, grab his face from behind with both tiger claws; step
back left – right – left, pull him backwards by his head, throw him on back;
drop right knee on his head.
D.) Start as ‘A’ then; crescent step back with left behind him; grab his
shoulders, right knee to spine; step back right – left – right, kneel on right,
pull him down back to knee; right hand to jaw, catch top of head with left,
twist clockwise; hands to ‘crane’; right knife hand chops throat, left hand on
back of head; circle both hands over head, double hammer fists to clavicles;
continue motion with hands; lift up, step back with right, adjust to low Kusanku
stance, double crane claws to face.
5.
Spinning Hammers. (ABCD1-2,E1-2,F1-2). High right punch.
A.) Step forward with left, left upward parry, right upward circling strike to
right arm; continue motion, left hand circles up to triceps keeping his right
arm elevated; shift forward to half bow, right uppercut to right ribs, left hand
in guard
B.) Start as ‘A’; right side elbow to right ribs; right front leg raise behind
his body, right back knuckle kidney; right tiger mouth throat, right foot sweep
back of legs, takedown.
C.) Start as ‘A’; right reverse knife hand to groin; pivot 180º to half bow,
left circling hammer fist to back of neck; reverse 180º, right circling hammer
fist to left kidney.
D1.) Start as ‘A’; right palm heel tiger claw to groin, left hand grab right
arm; naihanchi sweep his right foot with left, right hand pull out groin; right
uppercut to right ribs as left foot returns to position.
D2.) He doesn’t fall. Step forward with right behind his legs; pivot
180º, pull on right arm with left, right side elbow to head, trip him over right
leg to takedown.
E1.) Start as ‘A’; double circular hammer fist strike, right to groin, left to
kidney; catch jaw with left inverted crane hook, spin him around; shift to bow,
uppercut to left side of jaw.
E2.) Same as ‘E1’ except; place his chin in the crook of right arm, step back
with left, finish like “Encircling Arms Set 1 ‘B2’”.
F1.) Start as ‘E1’ then; catch back of head with left, jaw with right; rotate
head back to arch spine, right knee to spine; maintain left grip, circle right
arm counter clockwise to hammer fist to throat or dropping elbow to heart.
F2.) Same as ‘F1’ except; cross back with left, finish like “Encircling Arms Set
1 ‘A3’”.
6.
The Python. (A1-2,BCD1-2). Right punch.
A1.) Step forward with right to fighting stance, left-right brushing parry;
right supported finger to right eye, hook socket; step left with left; pull
right hand to chest, left palm heel to right ribs right punch face; right side
kick right knee; plant forward right elbow left palm heel strike head; catch
right shoulder with left jaw with right, twist clockwise; break his neck.
A2.) Start as ‘A1’; step left with left, right crane hook chin, left hand on
right shoulder, pivot to bow, pull with right, push with left to break neck.
B.) Left-right brushing parry; step forward with right to fighting stance, right
side elbow to right ribs; right back hand hook his right arm, pull right arm
down, reverse and right tiger mouth or knife hand thrust to throat.
C.) Start as ‘A1’; slide right open hand forward palm to right inside biceps,
move his right arm away from right ribs; left open hand slides between his arm
and ribs; as his arm retracts from punch, step forward with left to fighting
stance, left forearm push (forward) his right arm behind his body; right hand
catches right wrist, left hand slides to his right elbow, pull right arm into
arm lock; right round house knee to body; plant back with right, pivot to right
bow, pull right arm forward to dislocate shoulder.
D1.) Left front snap kick his right leg, left - right brushing parry to outside
of right punch; plant forward to fighting stance outside his right leg, left
elbow to right ribs, right four finger eye shot; right hand pulls down his right
arm sliding to wrist, sweep his right foot forward, planting forward in twisted
stance, left one finger eye shot (palm up) toSt-9; pivot 180º to kneeling stance
on left, right pulls back applying pressure with left side of chest, left
forearm rotates to vertical, break his right elbow.
D2.) Left punch. Right front snap kick to groin, right – left brushing
parry to inside of left punch; plant forward to fighting stance outside his left
leg, right elbow to solar plexus, left four finger eye shot, left hand counter
grabs, sliding to wrist, right reverse knife hand (palm up) to right anterior
triangle of his neck, reverse, and hammer fist solar plexus; step right with
left, right back knuckle to left ribs, break his right left hand pulls; pivot to
fighting stance, right punch to left side head.
7.
Startled Cat.
(AB1-2CD). Left – Right; Right – Left hooks and punches.
A.) Left – Right. Step back slightly with left to cat stance, right/left
circling inward parry his punches; continue motion, right/left circling palm
heel tiger claws St-5; both arms continue to circle; step forward with right,
right side elbow to face, left hand to right armpit; reverse, double circling
tiger claws to face; continue circle, shuffle forward, double hammer fists,
right to groin, left to left kidney; circle right tiger claw counterclockwise
high to face, left clockwise low to lower back; reverse, right clockwise tiger
claw pulling head back, left counterclockwise backhand to lower back to arch the
spine, right 45 º roundhouse knee to upper spine; rotate right knee, stomp on
upper left calf, pull back and down with right tiger claw, throw to ground.
B1.) Right outward parry to left punch; step forward to bow, right inward parry
to right punch, left hand grab groin; shift 180º to Kusanku, left hand rip out
groin, right knife hand to throat.
B2.) Step forward with right to bow, right inward parry and grab his left,
pulling 45° down across body, left hand grab groin; finish as ‘A’.
C.) Right – Left. Left outward extended knife hand blocking strike to his
right forearm, right hand to guard; step forward with right, right outward
extended knife hand blocking strike to left hook, left hand to guard; catch his
left fist with the left, rotate right elbow over the top of his left forearm;
cross back in advance 45° right with the left; pivot and kneel for take down.
D.) High. Step forward with right to fighting stance, right punch right
biceps, left punch right radial nerve; right back knuckle to left ulna nerve,
left cross to right side face, pivot with left to knee-to-knee stance; reverse
and right hook to face.
8.
Wrapping the Gift.
(A1-2,BCD). Right punch.
A1.) Parry and catch his right punch with left, placing his right fist in crook
of our right elbow; step back with right, pivot 180° to bow or half bow with
sudden snapping motion, left elbow against his right elbow.
A2.) Same as ‘A’; but, step forward 45° right with right.
B.) Same time: parry down and catch top of punch with left (palm down), catch
bottom of fist with right (palm up); right front snap kick left thigh; step back
with right, pivot to bow, left elbow against his right elbow.
C.) Both hands parry punch to right; circle right arm around right wrist, catch
with crook of right arm, right elbow tight against right side, left palm on
right elbow; right front snap kick groin; plant back, pivot 180° kneel with
left, takedown.
D.) Step forward with left to cat, right crane wrist strike up against his right
wrist, left downward palm heel strike against his right back knuckles; twist
right hand clockwise to Nikyo; step forward 45° right with left, take down.
9.
Divided Sword.
(AB). Right punch.
A.) Outside. Step forward left with left to fighting stance, left inward
parry; cross back in advance with right, pivot, right supported elbow to back;
reverse, left supported elbow to right ribs; continue motion, step left with
right, right reverse knife hand to left side neck.
B.) Inside. Reverse of ‘A’, left elbow to body; reach up and back, catch
with double gouging thumbs to throat; twist him down to the front.
10.
Chinese Fan.
(AB). Right push, punch, or grab.
A.) Step forward with left to low cat, left inward parry and knife hand thrust
with right to right hip point; reach down and catch back of right knee with left
crane hook; step forward with right behind his left leg, right side elbow to
solar plexus/ribs, lift up right knee with left, force him down; allow his right
leg to slide until left grabs his right ankle, grab right ankle with right, pull
up as right heel stomps groin.
B.) Start as ‘A’ except; catch back of right knee with right, left hand to right
hip point; shift weight to front foot, lift up right leg with right, push down
against right hip with left; swing right leg clockwise to the left to takedown;
allow his right leg to slide until right inner forearm is level with K-7, B-59;
keep his leg tight to your left side, left hand pulls right hand in to support
right arm pressure during submission.
