Kumite Jutsu
Hachikyu (Yellow Belt)
1. Dragon Bows and Turns.
(A1-2,B1-2,C1-2). Right push.
A1.) Left palm against right push, stopping it; back of right hand against of
back of his right hand, pull to chest and pin; step back with right, catch his
fingers with left hand, circle right hand clockwise to our left forearm; pin
tight with elbows, bend forward 45° with upper body, drop chin on chest; pivot
and corkscrew down, kneel with left; adjust, pin.
A2.) Miss. Hand continues to chest. Pin hand to chest with right hand,
pull small finger over others; left hand pins on top; complete like A1.
B1.) Step forward with left to cat; place left forearm into his grip, pin back
of his right wrist with right inside forearm, pull to chest; cross back in
advance 45° forward left with right, place right fist under left elbow, grab
right elbow with left hand, push against his fingers with left; pin elbows tight
to chest, pivot and corkscrew down, with left.
B2.) Start as 'B1'; he grabs; step forward 45° right with right; pin
his right wrist with crook of right elbow, left hand on top of right arm; pivot and kneel with left (right twist
upper body, push forward with left hand) for takedown.
C1.)
Left push. Step forward with right to cat, place right forearm in his grip,
counter grab his left fingers with left (thumb towards elbow), right elbow, up
and over his left forearm; cross back right with left; adjust stance to maintain
pressure, force him down; kneel with right.
C2.) Start as C1; arm straightens; rotate his arms so his is in right
armpit; lift right leg, drop straight down leaning towards him.
2. Bearhug (Free in front). Set
I. (A1-4,B1-3).
A1.) Step back with right to T-stance, left hand circles around behind
his head, grab hair (forehead if hair is too short or missing), pull back and
down, right knife hand thrust (palm down) to throat.
A2.) Start as A1; then; double gouging thumbs to eyes or throat.
A3.) Start as A1; then; double palm strike to ears.
A4.) Head facing right on chest. Start as A1; then; right supported
thumb under jaw, left hand grabs nose; push up with right, left hand pull nose
away from body; re-grab (right grabbing back of his head, left his chin), twist
head counter clockwise to free. (Reverse if facing left).
B1.) Suspended. Head up. Double palm to ears, rotate and Crane claw eyes,
double palm heel to neck (right high (St5), left low); catch jaw with right, top side
of head with left; twist to break.
B2.) Head up. Left horizontal forearm against cheek line, push out; catch
jaw with right, top side of head with left; twist to break neck.
B3.) Head against chest. Insert left middle and ring fingers into his
nostrils and pull up; right tiger fist to throat.
3. Locking the
Arm. Set I. (A1-3BCDEF).
Right arm bar lock.
A1.) Wrist. Punch forward with left, step back 45° right with
left; pivot to fighting stance, left side elbow to face; counter grab right
wrist with right, step forward 45° right with left, rotate hand clockwise, pull
right arm to right hip with right, right front snap kick to right armpit (H-1).
A2.) Same to rotation, (he fights pull), left front snap kick to knee, plant
forward with left, left forearm against right elbow; pivot, break elbow or take
down.
A3). Start as A1, step forward 45° left with left, cross back with right;
continue as A1, kick where you like; plant forward to proper distance; step
forward with left, finish like A2.
B.) Elbow (cant go forward). Step back 45° right with left, left palm
heel grab groin, left elbow straight up to chin; complete as in A1or2.
C.) Cranks it up. Start as in 'A1', twist left hand free; bend forward and
straighten right arm; counter grab his right wrist, pull his right arm in,
reverse, pivot 180° to half bow; push his hand to his right shoulder, apply
wrist lock; when knees buckle and he is falling backwards; reverse 180°,
left hand on his elbow, right holding his hand, and kneel on the left, pinning
his arm to the ground.
D.) Reverse grip. Step back 45° left with right - or - forward 45° right
with left; pivot to bow, right hammer fist to groin, left punch to face or thumb
to eye.
E.) Left hand grab. Start as in 'A1', counter grab left wrist with right;
pivot to fighting stance, left rear elbow to his left elbow to free, left hammer fist to
groin; continue attack.
F.) Loose rear left arm bar choke. Step right
with right; pivot left 90° to bow, left rear elbow strike solar plexus; finish
like A series.
4. Head Lock.
Set I. (AB1-2,CDE).
A.) Turn head towards his body, bite.
B1.) Start as A; step back with leg closest to his side and kneel, same side
reverse knife hand to groin, other hand pulling down on his arm.
B2.) Facing towards him. Step back with leg opposite to his grab and
kneel, finish same as B1.
C.) Twist head towards body, step forward with right to fighting stance,
double hammer fist: right to groin, left to kidney; circle left hand up and over
head, one finger supported to philtrum; pull head back and across left leg,
right hammer fist to heart.
D.) Strong grip. Twist head towards body, crescent step back 45°
with left behind his feet; circle both arms clockwise left tiger claw in front
of his face and right wrist hook behind right knee,
reverse; hitting nose and back of knee; rotate him parallel to ground; kneel
with right, slide right claw to groin, throw him on left knee, bending forward
(head below knee level); break his back; rip face with left, groin with right;
with both arms straight push him forward off knee, stand up and bring left foot
back.
E.) Avoid. Rotate head: down and left, chin on chest; step back with left
to natural stance; duck under his right arm; right four fingertip strike to
groin, left hand on his right hip; slide right hand down to right ankle, left
hand inside right knee; pull up with right, push down with left so he falls,
pull up on right foot, right heel stomp to groin.
